Tips for preparing

BE SMART AND MAKE YOURSELF SMART

It always looks good in an interview if you already know a little, or even a bit more, about your future employer. What exactly do we do? And how do we do it? What makes Schüttflix special? And what plans are we cooking up? The Internet is your friend...

GER PERSONAL – GET TO KNOW US

Preferably ahead of time Find out about the people you'll be interviewing with – that's what we do, after all. That is to say, you have our official permission to "stalk" us on Xing, LinkedIn, etc.

REALLY THINK – LOOK INSIDE YOURSELF

Time is money, so invest it well. For example, by looking inside and thinking about how you can best sell yourself. What do you want to tell us about yourself? What things about you might we find interesting? Which ones less so? Where do you truly shine, to where you can win us over? We're sure you'll think of something.

AND THEN: CHECK YOUR SOFT SKILLSET

Your expertise is beyond question? Great. But think about yoursoft skills. What are your social skills like? What about your motivation, your reliability, your work ethic? If you prepare well, these are things that can really work in your favor.

PLAN AHEAD – BE WELL-ORGANIZED

Job interviews are nerve-wracking enough. You definitely want to save yourself unnecessary stress by thinking through some practical matters ahead of time. How much time should you plan for the trip over here? How do you plan to get here? Where can you park? Where do you need to sign in? We can certainly help you with some of these questions.

SIMPLY PUT: GET DRESSED

Wait, what? Seriously – we leave it up to you. We don't have a dress code here. Just wear what makes you feel good, feel like yourself.

TIPS FOR THE INTERVIEW

CAMERA'S ON: PRESENT A GOOD IMAGE

There are always more video interviews. If you pay attention to the basics, you'll generally present a good image and strike the right tone. Make sure you have a good internet connection, quiet surroundings, and avoid using a cell phone camera if you can. If that's really your only option though, fix the phone in place – otherwise the image will wobble, and that's exhausting.

DEMONSTRATE POSTURE: PAY ATTENTION TO YOUR BODY

Your body always wants to have its say. And it tends to do its own thing – if you let it. So make an active effort to pay attention to your body language. For example, avoid slouching, nervous fidgeting, or playing with your hair.

DON'T HESITATE TO QUESTION US

Be curious. Bring questions. Take notes during the interview. This signals your interest in Schüttflix and makes it clear how important this is to you!

REMEMBER: AVOID CLICHÉS

We're probably not going to ask you about your weaknesses. But if we do, avoid cliché answers like "I don't know how to say no" or "I'm too much of a perfectionist". Just be open and authentic. That's a tip for every answer – and for the whole interview.
