For a trustful cooperation in the application process, we provide here transparently and trustfully our handling of your personal data, which refers exclusively to the data collected in the online application process. Therefore, we inform you how we handle your personal data collected during the application process and how you can exercise your rights. Please read this privacy policy carefully before applying to us.

3. Personal data in the context of the application process

According to Art. 4 No. 1 of the German Data Protection Regulation (DS-GVO), personal data is any information relating to the personal or material circumstances of an identified or identifiable natural person. This includes information such as your name, address, telephone number and date of birth, but also data about your specific career, etc., which can be assigned to a specific person with reasonable effort. Information that is not (un)indirectly associated with your real identity, on the other hand, is not personal data.

4. principles and purposes for the processing of personal data for applications and in the application process.

Your personal data will be used exclusively to enable the application process, i.e. to initiate and establish the employment relationship. This includes the collection and further processing of your application as well as the necessary processing within the framework of a pre-contractual legal relationship. By submitting an application on our recruiting page or contacting a recruiter, you express your interest in taking up employment with us. In this context, you provide us with personal data that we use and store exclusively for the purpose of your job search/application. Without the provision of your personal data, the processing of your application cannot take place. In particular, the following, but not conclusive, master and contact data are collected:

Special Categories of Personal Data: If the information you provide in your application documents contains special categories of personal data as defined in Article 9(1) of the GDPR (e.g., information that has inferences about sexual orientation, health information, and inferences about your ethnic origin or religious beliefs), we will only process this data to the extent permitted by law. In addition, you have the option to upload other meaningful documents that may contain additional personal data.
Only authorized employees from the HR department or employees involved in the application process have access to your data.

Personal data is stored exclusively for the purpose of filling the vacant position for which you have applied. Your data will be stored for a period of 6 months after the end of the application process. As a rule, this is done to fulfill legal obligations or to defend against any claims arising from legal regulations. Subsequently, we are obliged to delete or anonymize your data. In this case, the data is only available to us as so-called metadata without direct personal reference for statistical evaluations (for example, proportion of applications from women or men, number of applications per period, etc.). Following the application process, you may receive an invitation to join our talent pool. Should suitable vacancies arise for you in our company in the future, we will be better able to consider you in our selection of applicants. If we have your consent, we will store your application data in our talent pool in accordance with your consent. In the event of your consent, the data described in section 4 will be stored for a further 12 months. After these 12 months, you must agree again to remain in the applicant pool at our request. If you do not respond to this request within 14 days, your documents will be anonymized.If you receive an offer of employment with us as part of the application process and accept it, we will store the personal data collected as part of the application process for at least the duration of the employment relationship.

5. legal basis for data storage and processing

Your personal data will be processed for the purpose of personnel selection to fill vacancies, i.e. to initiate an employment contract.
The legal basis for this data storage and processing is Art. 6 para. 1 p. 1 lit. b DS-GVO in conjunction with . § 26 para. 1 BDSG, Art. 9 para. 2b i. V. m. § 26 Abs. 1 BDSG as well as § 26 Abs. 1 BDSG i. V. m. Art. 88 DS-GVO.
If you have voluntarily consented to the processing of certain personal data, this consent is the legal basis for the processing of this data. In the following cases, we process your personal data with your consent:
- Inclusion in the above-mentioned talent pool, which means that we store the application documents outside the current application process in order to take them into account in subsequent application processes.If we rely on your consent to process your data, you have the right to revoke your consent at any time with effect for the future. If possible, please send your revocation by e-mail to JOBS@SCHUETTFLIX.COM. This does not affect the lawfulness of the processing of your data until the revocation.Furthermore, we may process personal data from you if this is necessary for the fulfillment of legal obligations (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. c DS-GVO) or for the defense of asserted legal claims against us. The legal basis for this is Art. 6 (1) lit. f DS-GVO. The legitimate interest is, for example, a duty of proof in proceedings under the General Equal Treatment Act (AGG).

6. disclosure of data to third parties


The data transmitted as part of your application is transferred via TLS encryption and stored in a database. This database is maintained by Personio GmbH, which offers a personnel administration and applicant management software (HTTPS://WWW.PERSONIO.DE/IMPRINT/), is operated. In this context, Personio is our processor according to Art. 28 DS-GVO. The basis for the processing here is a contract for commissioned processing between us as the controller and Personio. In this case, we ensure that the processing of personal data is carried out in accordance with the provisions of the DS-GVO. A transfer to a third country is not intended.


7. data subject rights


If personal data is processed by us as the controller, you as the data subject have, depending on the legal basis and purpose of the processing, certain rights under Chapter III of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), including, where applicable, in particular the right to information (Art.15 DS-GVO), right to rectification (Art.16 DS-GVO), right to erasure (Art. 17 DS-GVO), right to restriction of processing (Art. 18 DS-GVO), right to data portability (Art. 20 DS-GVO), right to object (Art. 21 DSGVO).
